A suggestion to ease the slower content release cadence going forward#923

With the recent recap revealing how the pace of new content is going to slow down, I think it would be nice for when there are gaps in the schedule there could be a sale for a lowered price on an old bundle highlighted in the shop. The old bundles have likely sold a majority of their lifetime sales closer to their release, and this could boost them a little while making it easier for new people or those who missed out to pick them up. It would also ease some players concerns about the high bundle prices.

I understand the team could be adverse to this due to fomo or a perceived punishing of those who didn’t wait for a sale, but the game itself goes on sale plenty and that isn’t an issue, I don’t see why that can’t apply to cosmetics. I also don’t see the community really taking an issue with it.

The one concern I still have is people who would otherwise buy the current bundle instead deciding to wait for it to go on sale. I think this could be helped by a clear communication of when something could go on sale, maybe it has to be something like a full year old to be eligible. I think a large majority of the potential buyers of a bundle would rather not wait a full year for a discount so they would go ahead and pick it up, and the people who would wait for a discount likely wouldn’t have bought it in the first place.

I think this could help keep the game feeling as alive as it has been while simply reusing prior work. The social medias can repost the goated trailers for the bundles and it can help them have a second life with another time in the spotlight.
