Recovery nerf across the board#916

Just seen a Reina recover from the below bubble with no double jump by using chair and its barely been a week. What is going on.

You hit zetter with any move close to a wall they can just jump reverse down b and kill you if you’re unlucky. Literally punished for trying to edgeguard.

Hit clairen with a move they’ll just tech side-b tech side b etc.

Ranno could probably recover from the edge of the universe with bubble.

Just forget about edgeguarding Absa, every move is a jump and then they will cancel their up-b and land without lag.

The same with Forsburn, you can’t clear the smoke you can’t reach and by the time you attempt it they’re already back on stage. Clone up-b has a hitbox aswell, really.

I get the design philosophy of some characters where a good recovery is central to their toolkit, like orcane they have to place puddle somewhere on stage or wrastor with multiple jumps, But why does La Reina get 3 extra jumps from a projectile she can spawn in the air, or Zetter gaining a jump from a move that can spike at extremely low percents.

It’ll get to the stage where it’s like Smash ultimate with “ledgetrapping” instead of edgeguarding but the doesn’t even work due to ledgedash/invincible aerial off ledge.

Maybe it’s the fact that so many of the stages have walls.

Can we have a timed mode where ledges are removed.

That is one of the major problems with the game (specifically, touching the wall is way too good and you can tech everything forever due to buffer)
It’s the reason Orcane SideB was nerfed (instant teleport to wall is broken as hell, removed the whole concept of “edgeguarding”)
