favorite replays as soon as the match ends#860

rivals 1 had this cool thing where you could both save and also favorite a replay right after the match ended. it would be cool if that made a return because sometimes a fellas running like 30+ games with auto replay saves turned on and its hard to remember exactly which games you hit them nasty twitter clips in

Posting my personal experience that inspired me to come here, feel free to skip/ignore:

I played on controller since the game released and whenever I wanted to save something I just clipped it with my own recording software. I recently switched to box and I’m re-learning muscle memory. I have situations where I think I’m inputting things like wall techs or CC correctly but I’m not getting them in game. I can’t use my recording software for this like I usually would since there’s no way to put input display on in a real time match (to my knowledge) so I’d like to download the replay and watch it back with input display on to see where I’m going wrong.

Issue is I have muscle memory from the past year and a half to not click the save replay button so I keep forgetting to save and then realizing I forgot to save like 2 minutes later. Been happening for like a week now and it’s driving me crazy, obviously this is a skill issue but the change in this suggestion would be a nice quality of life change that I think a lot of people would enjoy/appreciate.

@Devs If it’s an issue with bloated bandwidth/resource consumption on the server, I’d suggest adding a new setting that defaults to off that when turned on enables the auto save replay. I imagine a solid % of the playerbase wouldn’t care to opt into it, so it’d save a good chunk of resources.

Just realized I misread your post and we’re asking for 2 different things LOL, not going to bother making my own thread for my suggestion since I assume a dev will read this. I do agree it’d be nice to have an auto favorite button you could click without leaving your session.

I would love this. I can’t say I’m a fan or taking pen and paper notes on which replays to favorite so I can remember which is which after playing 5+ sets in casual.
