Galvan’s jab 3 lacks an inner hitbox like Ranno’s, which combined with its extreme vulnerability to SDI / SSDI makes it an inconsistent option - with the worst case scenario being your opponent SSDI’ing through the hitbox. Even when it pushes opponents up or away (or pushes Galvan himself away, due to “anti-infinite pushback”), it’s still enough time for them to punish you for forgetting that this move’s only apparent purpose is to troll characters who can’t sweetspot the ledge. An inner hitbox that prevents the first scenario would be a welcome change.
It’s difficult enough to even get jab 3 off considering jab 2 has a suck-ass cancel window of frame 15, so I don’t know why it’s so sad. Is this just the price Galvan pays for jab 2 having actual knockback scaling?
