I checked mashing Wavedashing on patch 1.3.5 vs patch 1.4.0.1 and it’s way worse now.

Here’s a frame by frame comparison of both patches

I hope this is true cause I thought I was just ass lmao

This is not intended, so we’ll take a look under the hood and try to figure out what’s happening.

@George I believe this issue is related to one of the points I made in another post (point 3 here: https://rivals-of-aether-ii-patch-140.nolt.io/65 ).
So it seems like in previous patches, the shield input was remembered through jumpsquat, but that is no longer the case.
Personally, I think any input should be remembered through jumpsquat if the input is stored by the start of jumpsquat, but not sure if that’s a widespread opinion. Hard to tell when the issue is so niche lol.

A buddy of mine said that they found a work around by swapping the airparry button to airdodge and vice versa and that it fixed it.

Similar to this, buffering wave dash after lox meatball feels wayyyy off. It gives you jump instead of wavedash more often than not.

Experiencing as well. Buffering out of landing still feels really hard: https://discord.com/channels/63722835520004096/1296552188222640200/1425262346737025034
